Oulton Park, in the background is the right hander leading into Deer's Leap.

This point is the apex of the left kink just following Deer's Leap. There's a small Marshalls Hut raised on stilts.

The riders are hitting maximum accelearation at this point as they head for the Start Finish stretch. This is primo position for the hardened photographer because the bikes are leant over on an off-camber stretch of the track with the throttle wide open and one wheel often quite high up in the air.

Their heads are sometimes leant so far OVER the safety barrier you can see in the foreground that photograpahers have been known to be hit by the passing rider's helmet...at between 130 and 150 miles an hour...

Every rider that went past gave me a serious adrenlaine panic moment as I struggled to fight the urge to leap out of the way

Amazing shot! So much clarity and yet you can tell there's so much energy... the front wheel an inch off the tarmac...

Thanks very much. I like it myself, just wish some of the more dramatic one's had come out...was shooting this on a very old and very SLOW lens...if I'd had what I have now, there would have been some far better shots up here by now.

Cheers mate. It spurred me onto buying some pro-lenses at last, so double bonus! :)
